The Social Life

For those of you who are wondering where I've been for the past month and a half, here's a quick answer for you: I've been busy. Since my last post on June 24, I have actually been in San Francisco almost the entire time. No, I haven't been jaunting off to exotic foreign destinations. Salt Lake City is about as exotic as it has been, and that was only for a few days this past weekend.

Life has been keeping me busy since June 24 when I got back from China. For the entire month after I returned, I was focused on one major event - the St. Dominic's Young Adults Coffee House. This is an annual fund raising event for our Young Adults Group, and I was one of the co-producers this year. Let me tell you, putting on a 3-hour show like that definitely takes time and energy. But the results were phenomenal. At some point I might get some video up here to show you how it went, but don't hold your breath.

Besides the Coffee House, I've also been maintaining an exceptionally active social calendar. The evites are just flooding in these days, it seems. As of this morning, I had 16 evites, not to mention a multitude of other social events that aren't being planned on evite. Of the 16 evites, I have responded YES to 8, NO to 5, and still have 3 that I need to try and fit in somewhere. I think earlier this year I posted a blog entry saying that I was going to try and reduce the demands on my time. I should have known that wasn't going to be possible. Far from reducing those things that demand my time, I have added to them. Oh well, at least I have a life that I enjoy living!

Who knows what exotic tales I might have the next time I find a few minutes to jot something down here. Until then...
